New DaVinci Story

I was thinking of writing a best seller. You know, like a follow up to all of the historically inaccurate books floating around based on famous historical figures. My only sources will be hearsay and other works of fiction, which I will have other people summarize.

Here is the gist: The book will follow the life of DaVinci's secret half-sister who grew up in the Azores. She was raised by flying nuns who gave her the secrets to human flight. When she discovers that she was not conceived through immaculate conception, which at the time was considered to be an early IVF procedure based on anonymous donors, she sets out to find her long lost brother, Leonardo. But being a lowly flying nun, and he a big-shot artist, he denies her familial bond. However, when she accidentally slips on some well-placed paint near an open window, Leonardo discovers that she has something that he wants: the secret to no-frills flight. In a variety of comic circumstances, he tries to obtain her secret and the slapstick humor is nonstop. . . until someone ends up very dead or in Canada.

If you have any DaVinci stories to share, please do so. Next week I may move onto the little-known history of the guy who started the shoe-wearing craze back in 10,000 B.C.E.

In the Beginning. . .

So, this is my first official blog. The official Jessica blog. All of the others would have to be unauthorized or maybe my "clandestine" blogs. Yes, those will be my top secret blogs whilst this one is the front and sucker bait all in one.

A thousand bloggers are born every minute, with stars in their eyes and tendonitis in their wrists. Check out my fellow virgin blogger here.

Ever have one of those days when you have an extra bounce to your step and even if you trip a little bit over that uneven sidewalk, you don't act like anything happened because dammit, this is your super perfect day?

No? Me either.

Real life doesn't resemble a yogurt commercial or ad for the Bahamas, we all know that. But, why does it always shock us when we suddenly join the part of the human race that has health, legal, or relationship problems? I think the movie, "Knocked Up" might help us to address these issues. The trailer is hilarious and I hope the movie is just as funny.
